COACHING DEVELOPMENT
Charlie Adams succesfully completed a 'FA Youth Award Module 1: Developing the Environment' course at Abbey Rangers FC last week thanks to a free course held exclusively for Charter Standard clubs by Surrey FA. The course, which will give Charlie understanding of specific environments for coaching young players, not only adds to his own coaching training but also another step on Dynamo Molesey's long-term aims for youth football.
PHYSIOTHERAPY DEVELOPMENT
Dynamo Molesey FC have agreed to fund Arran Nicholson towards a course that will add to his on-going Physiotherapist training. The course in November is focused around Activity & Exercise and therefore the club were only too happy to help Arran complete the course. As part of the agreement, Arran will become the Club Physio on a voluntary basis and join the Club Management Committee.
Club Secretary Tom Holder commented "this is an exciting time for Dynamo Molesey, concentrating on volunteer development has always been our target for this season and we are delighted that Arran will be adding to his Physiotherapist training by attending this course, resulting in the club's members benefitting from his experience as a full trained Physiotherapist".
The club has agreed to fund volunteer development this season thanks to external funding sourced from football development.
Dynamo Molesey FC recognised for football development work with three awards

Dynamo Molesey Football Club has been presented with three awards at the recent Surrey FA Awards evening in Leatherhead. The club has been recognised for its achievements in the field of football development by claiming the Surrey County FA ‘Charter Standard Adult Club of the Year’ Award for 2009 and winning the Football Association South-East Regional award in the same category, beating off stern competition from a host of other winners in the South East. Club Secretary Tom Holder was also rewarded for his work that lead to these awards by being named as a County Football Workforce winner for Surrey.

The awards reflect the hard work put into the club since it was established in 2006, but in particular the achievements over the last 12 months. The club has just launched a third side, taking the amount of members to over 60, and implemented the RESPECT programme into its own code of conduct and good practice guidelines. Recently, the club has been working with Elmbridge Borough Council to achieve the Active Surrey ‘Clubmark’ accreditation and research new opportunities for the club. There are 6 FA qualified coaches, two of whom are on Level 2 status and in the coming months will hopefully enrol on a Level 3 course. The club has one year left of its current four year development plan started in 2006, before deciding on new challenges to take on. It is hoped that the club will develop a women’s and youth section in addition to its existing teams for male adults.
For winning the awards, the club was given £200 worth of Umbro vouchers, plaques certificates and a pendant.
Dynamo Molesey currently runs three male adult teams in the Leatherhead & District Sunday League but would be particularly interested to hear from any new or established women’s teams or youth teams who may be interested in enjoying the benefits that an established club can offer.
“We at Dynamo Molesey are delighted to have been awarded the County and FA (South East Regional) Adult Charter Standard Club of the Year. This award recognises the great efforts that have been made to achieve our long term development plan for the club. Working alongside Surrey FA and their excellent Development Team, we hope to progress to Development and eventually Community Club status whilst continuing to thoroughly enjoy our football. Everybody at the club is quite rightly very proud of the ideals and standards upon which our club has been founded and we are committed to continue to build on this success over the coming season. We can’t wait for kick-off!”
Mark Twiselton, Club Chairman
“To be named the best ‘Charter Standard Adult Club’ in the South East for 2009 is an excellent achievement for us and reflects the hard work and standards the club has made in just three years. The club has gone from strength to strength since 2006 and I look forward to helping develop the club further in future years. We’d love to take on a new challenge, such as women’s team and junior section. Grassroots football is for all, no matter of ability, and I’m happy that Molesey and Elmbridge have got so many opportunities to be involved in the game; not just at our club but at many others in the local area.”
Tom Holder, Club Secretary
